July 16th, 2008 by Roger Hedgecock and John Gizzi
On “The Roger Hedgecock Show” (San Diego, Calif.) Roger Hedgecock interviewed John Gizzi on July 16, 2008. They discussed California’s AB 624, a bill that would have forced foundations to publicly disclose the race, gender and ethnicity of their board trustees and the boards and staff of their grantees. The bill was withdrawn at the eleventh hour after California’s largest foundations promised to lavish millions of dollars on minority communities. The bill was pushed by the Greenlining Institute, a left-wing pressure group that threatens adverse public relations campaigns against lenders that refuse to bow to its agenda. Gizzi wrote about the bill in the July Foundation Watch and his article on the Greenlining Institute will appear in the August Organization Trends. The MP3 file covers about one full hour of the show, but Gizzi’s segment runs from 17:20 to 34:25.
