The Huffington Post’s Progressive Fest

I just received a mass email from the Huffington Post that makes me want to heave. Check out the left-wing idolatry in this email that apparently highlights new HuffPost articles:

Arianna Huffington: Obama Wins: Why All Americans Have a Reason to Celebrate
Even if your candidate didn’t win tonight, you have reason to celebrate. We all do. Barack Obama’s impressive victory says a lot about America. Because tonight voters decided that they didn’t want to look back. They wanted to step into the future.

Cory Booker: A Time For Change: A New Narrative for America and her Cities
Barack Obama can be the president that helps America speak to the profound greatness of its rural areas, its suburbs and its mighty cities again.

Nora Ephron: Exhale
So we held our breath for twenty-two months, twenty-two months of an election that everyone claimed would bore us witless. The exact opposite turned out to be true: it was riveting.

Russell Simmons: The Vision of the Hip-Hop Generation
The election of Barack Obama, a resounding progressive voice, is a clear reflection of hip-hop politics, and a beautiful testament to the American collective consciousness that is flowering.

Andrew Gumbel: America 2008, Or Berlin 1989?

It’s not all drivel; just most of it. Get used to this “Amerikkka sucked until Obama won” garbage. There will be months, maybe years, more of it.
