ACORN RICO Probe Underway?
October 12th, 2008 by Matthew VadumWe’ve been wondering for a long time why vote manufacturer ACORN hasn’t been prosecuted or sued under America’s racketeering (RICO) laws. (Our most recent blog post touching on the topic is here.)
Various blogs are reporting that federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has been assembling a 10-state RICO case against ACORN. We caution that these are not independently confirmed reports so they might not be true.
We will keep watching this.
POST SCRIPT later the same day: The Boston Herald is reporting that the FBI is now investigating ACORN.
