D.C. Civil (Gun) Rights Case Today

The Supreme Court has just about finished hearing oral arguments in the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, which could finally force the lawless District of Columbia to respect its residents’ fundamental right to self-defense. (Here is a previous NewsBuster blog post I wrote on the topic.) The high court is supposed to make an audio copy of the hearing available at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time. C-SPAN is supposed to carry the audio feed here

Good for a chuckle is David Nakamura’s love letter in the Washington Post to the gun-grabbers.

Anyway, it will take a few weeks or months for the high court to reach its decision on the District’s lawless, draconian gun ban. If the court does strike down the ban, expect to be drowned in a sea of hypocritical whining by District politicians who support the Bill of Rights — except for the individual right clearly and explicitly laid out in the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
