George Soros-funded Center for American Progress leads the Left’s attack on your gun rights

The Center for American Progress, which is more or less the Democratic Party’s public relations firm, is launching a fresh assault on the Second Amendment in light of the Aurora, Colorado theater massacre.

CAP is hosting a conference tomorrow in Washington, D.C. called “After Aurora: Dispelling the Myth of NRA Power.”

The theme here is that the National Rifle Association is weak and that the shooting deaths in Colorado are a wonderful opportunity to advance the gun-grabbing agenda.

From the official invitation:

Tomorrow, as details continue to emerge about the tragic shooting rampage in Aurora, Colorado that killed 12 people and wounded another 58, the Center for American Progress will host a discussion to examine myths about that National Rifle Association’s political influence, making the case for why politicians should feel empowered to take action now to prevent future tragedies.

The panelists are: Mark Glaze, director of  Mayors Against Illegal Guns; Lowell Baker, president of  Luntz Global LLC; and Paul Waldman, contributing editor at American Prospect magazine. The talk will be moderated by Winnie Stachelberg, CAP’s executive vice president for external affairs.
